Method
    1. Prepare the Buttermilk:
In a mixing bowl, combine the milk and vinegar. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes to create a buttermilk substitute.
    2. Mix Dry Ingredients:
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
    3. Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients:
Pour the melted butter into the buttermilk mixture and stir. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps in the batter are perfectly fine.
    4. Add Banana and Chocolate Chips:
Fold in the mashed bananas and chocolate chips into the pancake batter until evenly distributed.
    5. Heat the Pan:
Heat a non-stick frying pan or griddle over medium-high heat. You can lightly grease the pan with a small amount of butter or oil if needed.
    6. Cook the Pancakes:
Pour a ladleful of pancake batter onto the hot pan. You can adjust the size of the pancakes according to your preference. Cook until you see bubbles forming on the surface, then flip the pancake and cook until golden brown on the other side. This should take about 1-2 minutes per side.
    7. Keep Warm and Serve:
Transfer the cooked banana and chocolate chip pancakes to a plate and cover with a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm while you cook the remaining pancakes.
    8. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve your delicious banana and chocolate chip pancakes with additional banana slices, chocolate chips, a drizzle of maple syrup, or a dollop of whipped cream for an extra indulgent treat.
