Method

- Combine dry ingredients:
In a large bowl, mix 430g of all-purpose flour, 6g of salt, 12g of white granulated sugar, and 6g of instant dried yeast. - Add wet ingredients:
Pour in 250g of lukewarm water with 90g of lukewarm milk. Also, add 40g of neutral oil and 30g of plain yogurt. Grate 2 large garlic cloves and add them to the mixture. - Knead the dough:
Mix the ingredients until they form a dough. Knead it until you achieve a texture that is neither too sticky nor too wet. - Let it rest:
Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest for 1 hour, covering it with a clean cloth. - Divide and shape:
After an hour, cut the dough into 8 pieces and roll each piece into a small ball. Let them rest for another 20 minutes. - Roll out the naan:
Roll each small ball into a little oval shape, typical of naan bread. - Prepare garlic butter:
In a separate bowl, mix 42g of melted ghee with minced garlic and coriander, adjusting to taste. - Cook the naan:
Heat a pan or place the naan directly on a gas flame. Cook each side until it puffs up and gets golden brown. While cooking, brush each side generously with the prepared garlic butter mixture.
Pro Tips- Achieving the perfect texture: Ensure the dough is kneaded well until it reaches a non-sticky, pliable consistency. This step is crucial for soft and fluffy naan.
- Garlic butter perfection: Adjust the minced garlic and coriander in the butter mixture according to your preference. For a bolder flavor, increase the garlic, and for a milder taste, reduce it slightly.
- Cooking techniques: Use a hot pan or open flame for cooking the naan. High heat ensures a quick rise and a beautiful golden color.
